The signature mechanic
Watch the room, or track the hands. Not both.
Close your eyes, and the room falls silent to you โ you can only peek to catch a nervous glance or a fidgeting hand. But peek too long and you lose the thread of who passed to whom. This isn't a guessing game anymore. It's a game of attention.
Six suspects. One slipper. A notebook of clues.

The Parlour Chronicle
How It Works
One suspect (you) sits with eyes closed while the object is passed silently around the circle.
Hold "Peek" to glimpse the room โ the current holder (and, on Poker Face mode, a decoy or two) will flash a nervous tell: a darting eye, a fidgeting hand, a smirk. Peeking logs the tell in your notebook.
But peeking costs you โ your Tracking meter drains while you peek, and the passes keep moving whether you're watching the hands or not. Release Peek to resume tracking cleanly.
When ready, open your eyes and accuse a suspect. Correct, and you take their place in the circle. Wrong, and the Butler assigns a forfeit.
๐ Close Your Eyes, Detective
Hand the device to the circle. No one currently accusing should look at the screen from here on.
๐คซ Pass It Quietly
Everyone but the detective: tap Left or Right a few times to move the object, then hide the controls when ready.
